Sinulog sa Kabataan sa Dakbayan 2010 WINNERS

Performers from the Mabolo Elementary School – Tribu Mabolokon and Abellana National High School grabbed all the top prizes in the Sinulog sa Kabataan sa Dakbayan held earlier Sunday afternoon at the Cebu City Sports Center. Also, both contingents won as Best in Costume Awards. Mabolo performers bested 9 different contingents in the Elementary Division with their lively dance steps and powerful performance. Also, thier dance concept portrayed a good harvest of papaya and offered a thanksgiving to Sto. Niño.

Abellana National School performs "Sublian sa Sinulog" a tribute to the Holy Cross in a Sinulog way. Sublian refers to whole event when religious Batangueños perform religious ritual that involves singing in verses with strict punto or skeletal melody, praying, eating and dancing the Subli.

5th: Labangon Elementary School – Katipunan Street, Labangon Cebu City

SECONDARY DIVISION

Champ: Abellana National High School – Osmena Boulevard Cebu City
2nd: Camp Lapulapu National High School – Apas
3rd: Inayawan Night High School – F. Jaca Street, Inayawan Cebu City
4th: Don Vicente Rama Memorial National High School – Macopa Street, Basak-Pardo Cebu City
5th: Banilad National High School – Governor Cuenco Avenue, Banilad Cebu City

Best in Costume: Abellana National High School – Osmena Boulevard Cebu City

Winners will receive the following prizes: 1st place: P150k + trophy, 2nd place: P100k + trophy , 3rd place: P75k + trophy, 4th place: P50k + trophy , 5th place: P25k + trophy and BEST IN COSTUME.

See them all as they performed back to back this coming Sinulog Grand Mardigras (January 17, 2009) and the rest non winning contingents.
