Southern Heritage Trail - Suroy Suroy Sugbo 2010

Cebu Festivals invites you to join the Suroy Suroy Sugbo 2010, this year Suroy Suroy Sugbo will bring you the most awaiting Southern Heritage Trail. Covering the Southern Part of Cebu Provinces, includes:

Talisay City - rich in Inasal and celebrates Halad-Inasal Festival every month of October 14-15.
Minglanilla - the sugat capital of Cebu - Kabanhawan Festival.
Naga - known for the large making of cemex cement.
San Fernando - San Isidro Parish Church, one of the most attractive heritage site in San Fernando Cebu.
Carcar City - home of the Kabkaban Festival and known for locally made of shoes.
Sibonga - celebrates Bonga Festival.
Dalaguete - one of the attractions is Brgy. Mantalongon Dalaguete, vegetable kingdom of Cebu.
Boljoon - The Church of Patrocinio de Maria - The church of Boljoon is one of oldest heritage of Cebu.
Santander - rich in crystal clear waters, white sand beaches and magnificent sunrise and sunsets.
Ginatilan - St. Gregory the Great Church - one of the old heritage church that found in Ginatilan Cebu.
Alegria - the town is rich in seabed perfect for snorkeling and diving.
Moalboal - Moalboal is famous in tourism industry based on diving and beaches.
Ronda - the town is abundant in banana plant.
Barili - Mantayupan Falls, Bolocboloc Springs and Sayaw Beach one of the attractions in Barii Cebu.
Dumanjug - known for the best native chiken "Bisayang manok".
Alcantara - one of the smallest town in Cebu.
Badian - known for Kawasan Falls.

Samboan - St. Micheal de Archangel church, is a well preserved 3 century old church that can only be found in Samboan Cebu.
Oslob - celebrates Toslob Festival in honor to Immaculate Conception, the patron saint of Oslob Cebu.

Northern Escapade - Suroy Suroy Sugbo 2009

Suroy Suroy Sugbo will be bring you the most awaiting explorations of the year, its "Northern Escapade". It is part of the Northern town of Provinces of Cebu which covers the town of Sogod, Carmen, Santa Fe, Liloan, Borbon, Catmon, Danao City, Bantayan, Madridejos, San Remegio, Medellin, Daanbantayan, Bogo, Tabogon and Compostela. It will run on three days starting on October 16, 17 and 18. Suroy Suroy Sugbo is a tourism project of Cebu headed by lady governor of cebu, Gov. Gwen Garcia. This to promote towns and cities in the province with their richness of cultures, attractions and best place has to offer.

Last June 12 and 13 was "Explore the Midwest" covering the Midwest town of Aloguinsan, Pinamungajan, Balamban, Asturias, Tuburan and Tabuelan and the city of Toledo. And now it will the "Northern Escapade" stopped by 15 provinces of Cebu.

Sogod - a place where white and black sands meets, ang "SINUGDANAN"
Carmen - one of the most leading manufactures of Sinamay, the home of first Sinulog Festival.
Santa Fe - rich in tourist attractions, they have Hoyohoy Villas, Ogtong Cave, Marlin's Beach Resort, Santa Fe Beach Club and many more.
Liloan - home of the Rosquillos Festival and Bagacay Point Lighthouse.
Borbon - famous on folklore about the Salmugi River.
Catmon - famous on their hot spring called MAINIT.
Danao City - the Karansa Festival capital of the town.
Bantayan - the most religious town of Cebu.
Madridejos - the town called LAWIS and known for Kota Park - a baywalk that jutting into the sea.
San Remegio - rich in trees called "KANGHAGAS".
Medellin - town that produces around 349,320 metric tons of brown sugar - Sugarmill capital of Cebu.
Daanbantayan - Haladaya Festival and known for a little boracay place - Malapascua Island.
Tabogon - the Agoho town of Cebu.
Compostela - the Caballo Festival - a horse festival.

The Suroy-Suroy Sugbo was started in 2005 as part of the Province’s tourism program. It is the initiative of the Capitol to boost the local tourism. It started with tours for southern and northern towns of Cebu, as well as a package involving Camotes Islands. Now, it also includes tour packages to midwest Cebu and an urban adventure package, featuring the cities of Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu.

This coming June 12 and 13 it will be "Explore the Midwest". The Suro-Suroy Sugbo 2009 will explore the Cebu’s midwest section covering the towns of Aloguinsan, Pinamungajan, Balamban, Asturias, Tuburan and Tabuelan and the city of Toledo

Aloguinsan - is known for Kinsan Festival, kinsan is a fish that is usually abundant in months of May to June. They have also the white sand beaches.

Balamban - "Island of the Sky" one of the attractions of Balamban Cebu. A mountain resort sets to its 15 hec. property that commands the panoramic view of Cebu.

Asturias - is famous for there beautiful lakes called "Buswang Lake".

Tuburan - rich in Spring Water called the Molobolo Spring, a fresh water that is always flowing and empties into the sea. They have also Cave and Beaches.

Tabuelan - known for there Ani-anihan Festival and "tabugok", a kind of octupos.

Suroy Suroy Sugbo is greatly bringing tourists to the province and it also helped promote the potentials of the towns and cities outside Metropolitan Cebu.
