This June 2009 the Cebu town of Tabuelan celebrates the 7th year feast of Saint John the Baptist. The Ani-anihan Festival 2009. The festival was originally scheduled on Wednesday June 24, 2009 but it was postponed due to the typhoon Feria that might damage the props and things of festival contingents, but three days later (Saturday June 27, 2009) the said event was succesfully continue.

The festival was very supportive by the local Cebu Government especially Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia the Cebu Provincial Governor, Mayor of Tabuelan, Mayor Rex Casiano Gerona and all Tabuelanons.

There are eight barangays contingents who participated the festivals, some of them are children with their elementary schools representative.
