Photo from choui168'sOctober 28-29. Consolacion Cebu will celebrates the "Adlaw sa Consolacion" or the 14th Sarok Festival 2009. The annual celebrations is honor of its Patron Saint San Narciso. The festival is participated by different barangays, elementary and high school students. They will be portraying and showcasing how "SAROK" made a life to the community especially the farmers of Consolacion Cebu.
Sarok means a kind of hat that made from bamboo strips and dried banana leaves and this is commonly used by farmers of Consolacion for protection from the rain and heat of the sun. Also, Sarok is the main livelihood of Barangay Tulotulo. The first Sarok Festival was held in the year of 1996, by then a resolution is mandated of the local officials that Sarok Festival will be celebrated every October 28-29 as part of the Founding Anniversary of the Municipality of Consolacion.
Mayor Avelino Gungob Sr. of Consolacion and other members of local officials is very supportive of the town festival. This is one of the project of provincial government that promotes the cultures, festivals, history and tourism of every Cebu Provincial Towns.

hello!i dont kow hows the judging of miss consolacion happened.there are still other candidate who deserves to be included in the magic.but oh im very disappointed with the result.kanga kanga naapil sa magic 5.
@Anonymous.. i was not able to watch the Ms. Consolacion Cebu nor the results of the winners, but in terms of judging, it is final and maybe unappealable from the judges.
Konsensya nana sa mga contestants if feel nila nga they are really deserving to be one of the top five and called as Ms. Consolacion Cebu. :D

hello..i would just like to correct you, the founding anniversary of CONSOLACION is always on FEBRUARY 14 and NOT on OCTOBER 28-29.
